πŸ”Ή Overview

Once you’ve created and shared your work instructions, it’s time to use
them efficiently on the shopfloor. This guide will walk you through how workers can access, navigate, and complete work instructions step by step.

πŸ”€ Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1️⃣ How to Access a Work Instruction

There are multiple ways to open a work instruction:

πŸ” Search & Select
  1. Go to the Manufacturing Page
  2. Select the workstation you are in. This can also be pre-assigned in the settings.
  3. Use the Search Bar to find the instruction by name or ID
  4. Optional: select the Variant you want to execute
  5. Optional: select if it is a single execution, line production or batch production
  6. Click on the "Execute" button to open it

πŸ“· Scan a QR Code or Barcode
  1. If a QR Code or Barcode is attached to the instruction, simply scan it
  2. The instruction will open immediately, based on whether it’s an internal or external link

πŸ“‚ Open from Assigned Tasks

  1. If the instruction was assigned to you, it will be listed under "My Instructions"
  2. Click on the assigned instruction to begin

πŸ“Œ Tip: If variants exist, you’ll be prompted to select the correct version before starting!

Step 2️⃣ Navigating Through Work Instructions

Once an instruction is open, you will see:

βœ… Step-by-Step Guidance – Clear steps with text, images, and videos
βœ… Required Materials & Articles – Lists of items needed for each step
βœ… Warnings & Alerts – Important safety and quality notes
βœ… Data Input Fields – If required, you may need to confirm values or enter serial numbers
βœ… Execution Buttons – Confirm each step as you go

πŸ“Œ Tip: Some steps may be skipped automatically based on conditional workflows (e.g., if a quality check fails, additional steps may be shown).Β

See "Instruction with condition quality check"

Step 3️⃣ Completing the Instruction

πŸ”˜ Confirming Steps: Click the Confirm button when a step is completed
πŸ”˜ Automatic Confirm: Some steps will confirm themselves after a time delay
πŸ”˜ Auto-Pause Steps: Certain steps may require you to complete an action before proceeding

🎯 Final Step: Once all steps are confirmed, the instruction is marked Completed, and all entered data is saved. In the last window you can either download the traceability data or restart the instruction.

πŸ’‘ What’s Next?

🎯 Now that you have completed your first instruction, here’s what you should do next:

βœ… Analyze Your Data Records β†’
